CLIMATE AND JOB SATISFACTION OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS DURING THE RURAL AND MARGINAL URBAN HEALTH SERVICE (SERUMS) IN PERU, 2023

Abstract

The research on the work environment and satisfaction of Health Sciences professionals in the Marginal Rural and Urban Health Service (SERUMS) was conducted through a non-experimental, observational, and descriptive qualitative study, using semi-structured interviews with two doctors and one obstetrician. The findings indicate that one-third of the participants have issues with superiors, two-thirds face postural situations that jeopardize their health and exceed working hours. There are limitations in accessing basic services in residential settings, impacting compensation due to additional expenses. Additionally, professionals encounter challenges due to a lack of training. Therefore, it is concluded that health professionals engaged in SERUMS experience moderate satisfaction in their work environment.
