CONOCIMIENTO Y PRÁCTICA DE LA TÉCNICA DE LAVADO DE MANOS QUIRÚRGICO DEL PERSONAL DE SALUD DEL SERVICIO DE SALA DE OPERACIONES DEL HOSPITAL DE PAMPAS 2021

Abstract

The OBJECTIVE of the thesis was: To establish the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and the practice of the surgical hand washing technique of the health personnel of the operating room service of the Pampas Hospital 2021.

MATERIAL AND METHOD. The research was quantitative, relational level, descriptive correlational design, the sample consisted of 35 health personnel working in the room service of the Hospital de Pampas, the techniques used were the survey and observation, and the instruments were the questionnaire and the checklist; the statistical analysis was done through the SPSS V25 program.

RESULTS. 50% of health personnel have a medium level of knowledge, 43.33% have a high level of knowledge and 6.67% have a low level of knowledge about surgical hand washing. Likewise, 96.67% have adequate practice and 3.3% have inadequate practice of surgical scrubbing technique.

CONCLUSION. There is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of the surgical hand washing technique of the health personnel of the operating room service of the Pampas Hospital 2021.
